An inspiring performance of your favourite Christmas Music!

It is the most wonderful time of the year! And the Celebrate Christmas team is looking forward to bringing you the good news of Christmas through a wonderful collection of songs. You will hear many of your favourite Christmas songs offered in an exciting and current style as well as some new Christmas songs that you might not have heard before. Each song talks to the joy of Christmas and the reason why we celebrate this special day and this special Christmas season! We’ll help you enter the spirit of Christmas with an inspiring and uplifting concert. Please join us on Thursday, December 14th or Friday, December 15th.

Celebrate Christmas will be presented at the stunning Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts located at 390 King Street West in Kingston, Ontario. Click here for directions.

When?

There will be two performances only. Thursday December 14th, 2017 at 7:00pm and Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 7:00pm.

With special guest artist Trevor Dick!

Trevor is an award-winning instrumentalist and we are thrilled to have him join us this year for both evenings of Celebrate Christmas. Trevor will play a few of his songs from his acclaimed Glory and Peace Christmas album and he will be joining the team for several of the songs during the course of the evening.

Doug van der Horden

Lead Vocals

This is Doug’s third season with Celebrate Christmas. Doug is a highly accomplished musician based out of Kingston, Ontario. His amazing vocals and engaging stage presence adds a magical touch to the music of Christmas.

Richard Cleaver

Lead Guitar

Richard started Celebrate Christmas nine years ago as a way to touch the Kingston community with the hope and meaning of Christmas through the music of Christmas. He has an extensive background as a guitarist. He has toured internationally and he has contributed to hundreds of albums over the years.

Jeff Babcock

Drums

Jeff has been part of the Celebrate Christmas team since its inception. He is a native of the Kingston region, a husband, and father to two amazing kids. Jeff has an extensive musical background, playing on over 30 albums and sharing the stage with national and international artists on large festivals and tours.

Josh Cleaver

Bass

Josh has been playing bass since his early teens. He has performed on many stages over the years and has contributed to numerous music teams. His fluid playing style, coupled with a feel for the groove of a song, makes Josh a formidable bassist. Josh has also been part of the Celebrate Christmas since its inception nine years ago.

Rachel Mallory

Vocals

Rachel is a Queen’s Alumni that graduated with a Bachelor of Music. She grew up in northern Muskoka participating in Musical Theatre and teaching piano in a private studio. She also had the opportunity to travel and sing throughout Eastern North America. Rachel has been part of the Celebrate Christmas team for several years.

Kori Francis

Vocals/Percussion

Kori is a multi-instrumentalist who mainly focuses on percussion and vocal work. When not involved in music, Kori enjoys being a husband and father, his love of theatrical work and being a lead software developer of a great company here in Kingston. Kori has been part of the Celebrate Christmas team for many years.

Jonatan Caraballo

Acoustic Guitar

Jonatan is a skilled guitarist with more than ten years experience playing live events. This is his first year with the Celebrate Christmas team and we are excited to have him on the team.

Steve Ball

Keyboards

Steve Ball is a highly experienced keyboard player in the Kingston area. This is Steve’s third season with the Celebrate Christmas team. You will enjoy his incredible touch on keyboards.

Lindsey Fleming

Vocals

Lindsey is a non-stop songbird, performing more often for those passing her in the street than from a stage. This is her first year with Celebrate Christmas and she is beyond thrilled to join in such a wonderful production in her new city.

Shane Presley

Audio Engineer

Shane has been the audio engineer for Celebrate Christmas for several years now and brings out the best in our sound. Based in Ottawa, Shane has an extensive background in sound and lighting and runs his own production company, BSS Productions.

Lorraine Cleaver

Production

Lorraine has been helping the team produce Celebrate Christmas since we started nine years ago. We would be lost without her help. Contracts, marketing, ticketing, catering, logistics, personnel, Lorraine handles most of this work plus more. We could not do this event without her.

Trevor Dick

Violin

The Celebrate Christmas team is so excited to have Trevor Dick as a special guest artist for both nights. Trevor is a popular electric and acoustic violinist. His playing evokes images of Jean Luc Ponty, Hugh Marsh, Mark O’Connor and Mark Wood (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) all melded together. Trevor will highlight a few of his songs from his Christmas album, Glory and Peace, and he will join the team on several songs.
